Please note that the 2024-2025 school year will be the final funding opportunity under the current TSSP. The Utah Legislature has approved the new Salary Supplement for Highly Needed Educators (SHiNE) Program in the 2024 session that will go into effect July 1, 2025. Please contact your employing local education agency (LEA) for information about the new salary supplement program qualifications.
To be considered for any TSSP or NBPTS certification bonus, an eligible educator must create an account, confirm the email for the account, and then apply before the posted deadline of April 30th. An account profile is created during the initial application and does not need to be re-established for future participation.
For returning eligible educators, their application will auto-renew if they qualified for any portion of the bonus in a previous program year. For applicants who were ineligible and did not receive a bonus, the application will not automatically renew. Applicants must reapply each program year until they have met the program requirements and qualified for the funds.

The NBPTS certification bonus is paid during the final payment at the end of the program year (regardless of the term).
